ROUNDTABLE
Roundtable is the first Monday of the month at Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights and will start at 7:00pm. Please come and take advantage of this opportunity to discuss issues that will help to benefit you, other leaders, the district, and ultimately the youth of the Crater District.

Roundtable Dec. 3 We meet the first Monday (7:00 PM) of every Month at WUMC in Colonial Heights. Cub Leader Roundtable: Please all Cub Leaders, Pack Committee members and interested Cub Adults should be attending Roundtable. Upcoming events - Christmas party, Pow Wow, Klondike Derby will be discussed. After our opening we split our group, Den Leaders meet with Gertrud, who always has a great idea for a Cub craft, and shows you how to do it, letting you take one home that you can be proud to say you made yourself. While the Den Leaders are making their craft, The Pack Leaders - Pack Masters, Asst. PM, and Committee Members meet to further discuss District wide events, and individual needs of Packs. This week we will be discussing the importance of Troop - Pack relations, Webelos Crossover, Den Chiefs. You will also have a chance to venture into the Boy Scout section of Roundtable, giving you a chance to meet the Leaders there. It is important that your Pack be represented at Roundtable, and we hope that you will attend. Thanks, Sean seanhiggins@earthlink.net Gertrud gmott@sent.com

To All Crater District Boy Scout Leaders: I would like to encourage your participation at our Crater District Roundtable. It’s not your Granddad’s Roundtable anymore!!! Roundtable is focused on timely and informative topics. Thus far we have covered volunteer’s tort and criminal liability, cooking with steam ovens, recognizing and preventing adolescent suicide, constructing Eagle Packages, and this week we will be discussing dealing with abused foster/adoptive children, Bird Flu and universal precautions. In February we will be discussing MRSA and how it may impact your troop and how to deal with it. We also cross talk about District, Council, and local troop/crew information/events. However, we don’t have any droning chitchat and meet for exactly 1 hour and stick to the agenda. So please consider attending or sending a representative, its well worth your time. We meet the first Monday (7:00 PM) of every Month at WUMC in Colonial Heights. Hope to see you there. Yours in Scouting, Edward (Koz) Kosewicz Edward.Kosewicz@us.army.mil

DISTRICT COMMITTEE MEETING
Come one come all every third Monday of the month at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Sycamore Street (7:00pm). The pulse of the District, the District Committee, needs full unit participation from your unit’s Committee Chair.  Your input is important, so call the District Chairman with your needs and ideas. Better yet, come join in. STRENGTH THROUGH NUMBERS.

Crater District Commissioners Meeting
 - usually the fourth Monday of the month 7:00 PM at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, on Sycamore Street in Petersburg This committee needs your active participation, and any interested Scouters should be attending this meeting. Commissioners work with our Packs and Troops in the District who might need their assistance in any way. Share your knowledge with others who may be new to the Scouting program, work with them to help insure theirs and their Units success. Commissioners also act as a liaison between Units and Council to share information concerning programs, training, Roundtable, and other District or Council functions.

We want to reorganize our efforts and we need your help. Your input is important, please come and share your ideas.
Butch Andrews at Can-do2@msn.com
